OUR MINISTRY

   Founded in 1866 as the First Congregational Church of Benicia, the original church building was on West J Street. Our beautiful building on West Second was built and dedicated in 1962.
   Current membership of the church is over 100 members. Our children and youth enjoy participation in our Sunday School program, our active youth group, our Celebration Singers and our Cherub Choir.    Activities for adults include a weekly adult study and monthly gatherings such as Game Night.  Our activities also vary from year to year, but there is always fun, study, service, and fellowship.
    We are an Open and Affirming Congregation, welcoming YOU, whoever you are, no matter what. We believe that God made each one of us, and loves us all, and so we do our best to love one another. It doesn't matter how much money you have, what color your skin, whether you are gay or straight, old or young, male or female. It doesn't matter if you wear jeans to church or your "Sunday Best." You might like country music, hard rock, hip-hop, jazz and blues or classical. We make every effort to be a beautiful rainbow-inclusive diverse community.
    The church is host to a number of community groups, including A.A., N.A., Al-Ateen and Al-Anon, Happy Hearts Preschool, and the New Covenant Community Church (Samoan), Rev. Letofia Paopao, Pastor.
     We are eager serve to you, even if you are not a member of our congregation.
